7 steps to easy mind Reading
(With MATH)
1st - Get a piece of paper and write the number “5”on this paper. Put this paper inside an envelope and write the word “Prediction” on the envelope.
2nd – Ask for a volunteer to help you with a little mind reading experiment. Ask them to think of any number between 1 and 20. (This actually works for any number, but keeping the number smaller make the math easier.)
3rd – Tell the volunteer to double that number. (Using a piece of paper to write out the steps is acceptable.)
4th – Tell the volunteer to add 10 to that new number. (Again, using a piece of paper to write out the steps can help younger volunteers.)
5th – Tell the volunteer to divide that new number in half. (See you might want that paper now)
6th – Finally, tell the volunteer to subtract the original number picked. They now have a new number!
7th – Pull out the prediction from the envelope and show them the number 5! If they have done their math properly, you predicted their number!
